Realize through real eyes

Blog EntryThe Ergonomics of DrummingMay 15, '08 6:37 PM
for everyone
Flow, flow on through...
go on and on until you turn into
the song that's made inside of you.
Climb to the point you know is true
and keep on drumming, baby,
keep on drumming.

Give in to it all, it is you, don't fight.  Feel it move, feel the sound dancing through. Chance is not so much laws of probability as much as how far you are willing to go, to move, how much of "you" you are willing to spend and spew.  Peace through the seemingly chaotic, through the deafening noise is silence and when you find it...
keep on drumming baby,
keep on drumming.

Drumming. So beats our heart. When I was a child, I 'wondered' at the strange adults bouncing up and down in dance, what made them act as if they were on a spell and why I didn't feel it much. I can give into it now, but it was learned to 'act like them.'

Nice poem though, it's more about drumming it feels like blood coursing.

Not so much dancing as it is moving to the music inside you, being moved from inside. The heart beats and the heart's beats vary with my own. I have a heart murmer, it's a bit off beat all the time... might explain why I can't dance so well... but I still dance when moved to do so, despite the stares and laughter. :)

I can let myself 'go into it,' but I am often enough still the observer, because, while I think some music 'do' lift the spirit, a lot of music, lift the body, instead. I remember this movie once...where this young girl, in Africa...some story about her relationship with Lions...but there's this scene where, a lot of girls, ready to become women, are dancing in this 'circle.' The music, the beat, the repetetive, bounding up and down the girls were engaged in, it touches the spirit of the girl, and she 'dazed eyed' responds and bounds as well.

So....
what am I saying?

I am not rightly sure.
Except I am very aware about what an easily hypnotized creature we be.

I am not sure the whole '60's' thing was not a product of the music that was being generated at that time. I am not sure there wasn't some clandestine operation 'to' sway people to be accepting of a One World Government. Now I believe in a One World, but not a One world government. But we are conditioned 'to' accept, what another may use,to manipulate people.

Blah blah blah.

Nothing wrong with being hypnotized to a song if it's your own, though. :)

Hypnotism can be highly productive in some instances. Chants and prayers have their own significant power.

The moive was Born to Be Free, Rose.
I am into music and I feel the beat and the notes. It is hard to explain, I am a singer, I have a good ear for music and I hear the instuments, everyone, when I listen to music. I hear more than a whole piece, I hear parts of pieces. Does that make sense?
Your post is very good Ben.
Music is food for the soul.

Oh very good Pollyanna. I thought it had Born and Free in the title but I knew it wasn't Born Free, so I questioned my memory on it.

I hear the parts too Pollyanna. It's much fun to follow an instrument through the song.

There was a movie called Born Free, Rose but I think it waa about the Silver back gorillas. Unless I got the titles backwards lol. Being blonde, who knows lol

I think Born Free was the story of Elsa the Lion, but I'd trust me as far as I can throw me. Oh hey, I just realized I can throw me. Hey pretty good!!

Hmmm... don't think I've seen the movie you speak of there. Sounds interesting though.
pollyanna39 wrote on May 17
I think you are right Rose, it was about Elsa. There was a Born something about gorrillas lol.
honorbright24 wrote on May 17
Well there was Gorillas in the Mist??
pollyanna39 wrote on May 17

hehehe. We manage to 'get there sooner or later' (the names of things, etc.) I loved that movie. I watched a program on PBS the other day about the 'family' of gorillas today. It was really great. It seemed the tribe broke up and this one Silverback gorilla, formed a group with other male gorillas that had no 'families.' Two of the gorillas were particularly close and the leader of a new pack that eventually formed when females came to them, allowed his best friend to 'hang out' with him, even though that is not the way gorillas 'operate.' The one that hung out, was soon preffered by the females but he kept his 'buddy' around too. So much about animals that we do not suspect.

Did you see the video on utube going around where the buffalos save their young from lions??? That was incredible.

I think this is it.

Wow! Being stared down by a herd of buffalo, don't mess with them, eh? :)

WOW! That is amazing. The poor calf, he had a bad day!
Thanks Rose.

Thing is the calf walked away, fine. I'd say he had a remarkably great day, all things considered!
