Seeweed! Looks like some kind of alien autopsy, doesn't it? :)

Hey look there is our Ben in the sand..... Nice pic of ya Ben.....
bendean wrote on Mar 30
Yeah, I was kind of going for a self-portrait there. :)

ahhhh...it couldn't have been any finer! I wish I'd been there to draw in the wet sand too!! What a beautiful day for gadding about.

Gorgeous day and sweetheart of a son. Memories. Good for you, Ben. Days spent that way are unforgettable.

It was a fun time, in the morning with very few people out yet. I felt it was a good idea to go at least one more time before all the tourists come and it becomes too crowded there.

Dakota helped me with this one. He draws good circles. :)

The self portrait picture, could be a good picture for an avatar...
bendean wrote on Mar 31
Good idea! I changed the picture just now. It's Sand Ben. :)

like some tempest wind chime. Only seaweed--but it has a interested artistic expression--beautiful!!!

ohhh wow--I love the clouds at the ocean. They create the most awesome spectacle

I felt like one of those crime scene photographers that are always on those silly police dramas while taking this one. :)

I just love clouds in general. In truth, this was taken facing away from the beach. Below the clouds are a bunch of big ugly building I didn't want getting in the way of this shot. :)

That look very much like the new notebook...

Crop! Nasty buildings anyway! You found the beauty. Your son crouching...What his mind was thinking, your heart saw. Wish you could have seen the sky turn here while I was drawing, in the space of about two minutes it turned that gorgeous blue purple gray black and then the thunder and lightning, wind, my backyard tree, a giant oak too big around to hug stood in silhouette, mighty as always

Hey! I might get to see this same beach pretty soon! I'm driving west & San Diego is on the list! I want to spend a day at the zoo. And, of course, have a look at the beach. Great Pix, & your son is miraculous, too!

Wren,
I cropped a bunch with these. I like to watch the sky with my own eyes, usually, as the camera lenses rarely seem to do them justice. An oooh! from a photograph is like 10 times less than an ooooh! for being there. :)

AJ,
If you are bringing the dog along, you should go to this beach. They have a dog park there which is pretty cool, right on the beach, kind of like a little bog boardwalk of their own.

i love clouds too.

I noticed as I watch sunsets every day that they change so quickly. Only seconds before the sky turns from yellow to pink to purple then dark.......

i need a camera

I loved Ocean Beach! We drove all the way from SW Colo to see my brother graduate from Marine Boot Camp...well worth the drive if you ask me!

I like it a lot there. I need to go back but gas and money are in short supply for us these days.

I watched sunets and sun rises though...

I remember these pics. They are great.
